Description
GE IC695CRU320 is a dedicated redundancy CPU designed for the PACSystems RX3i platform. It enables hot standby redundant architecture for mission-critical automation applications. Two IC695CRU320 CPUs form a redundant pair, synchronized via fiber-connected IC695RMX128 memory exchange modules. Upon primary CPU failure, the standby unit takes over control within one logic scan to achieve bumpless process switchover without production interruption. The module supports mixed use of modern RX3i PCI I/O and legacy Series 90-30 serial I/O modules, widely deployed for replacement spare parts in power, water, oil & gas and process plants.

PACSystems RX3i is a modular programmable automation controller family developed by GE Intelligent Platforms, later transferred to Emerson.
