Product Overview
The ABB SPA‑ZC302‑BA is a dedicated protocol gateway for legacy ABB SPA‑bus protection relays. It converts SPA‑bus serial protocol data from protection relays and SACO annunciator units into Profibus‑DP V1 fieldbus signals, enabling these older protection devices to communicate with PLC, SCADA and substation automation systems. The ‑BA variant ships with matching connection cables for REX521, RE‑610 protection relays and SACO alarm annunciators. Widely deployed as spare‑part for maintenance and retrofit of existing medium‑voltage substation protection panels.
Series
SPA‑ZC Gateway Series. This family provides communication interfaces for ABB SPA‑bus protection relays. SPA‑ZC302‑AA and SPA‑ZC302‑BA are two main variants differentiated by included cable sets for different SPA‑relay hardware families, supporting integration of legacy protection devices into Profibus‑DP‑based substation control systems.
